Highway Department
Norman County Highway Department is responsible for the maintenance and construction of 390.89 miles of County State Aid Highways, 298.9 miles of County Roads, and 201 bridges. The Department’s primary functions are divided into two categories:
Maintenance is responsible for snowplowing, crack sealing, sign installation, and roadway maintenance.
Engineering is responsible for construction projects located on roads and bridges that require surveying, design, inspection, contract administration, and right of way acquisition. The Engineering Division is also responsible for the annual countywide bridge inspection program.
