Recycling Collection

The Norman County Recycling Collection in Ada is now located just north of Valley Square, next to the Norman County Salt Shed in recycling_center(1)_WebAda. Remember with the change to the recycling program, recyclables do not have to be separated anymore.

NORMAN COUNTY SOLID WASTE SOLUTIONS
REDUCE - Be a smart shopper, reducing the amount of garbage you generate will save you money

REUSE - Find ways to reuse items rather than throwing them away.

RECYCLE - The following items may be recycled in Norman County’s Drop Off Container Recycling Program, all of the following can be put into the same container as of January 1, 2004:

  • Glass - clear, brown, and green
  • Cans - steel and aluminum
  • Plastic - all plastic with a neck
  • Newspaper
  • Newsprint
  • Magazines
  • Corrugated Cardboard
  • Telephone Books
  • Office Paper

HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE
Kitchen and other household waste, not presently recycled, may be deposited at the canister sites (if supplied by your township), or contracted with your local garbage hauler.

SPECIAL MATERIALS
Commercial & Business Waste- Contract with your local garbage hauler.
Yard waste is not accepted at any of the three places we have available. You should contact your City Council members, if you are not sure of how to dispose of this.
