WIC
The Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) program that helps eligible pregnant parents, postpartum women, babies and children up to age 5 stay healthy. There is no cost to you for participating.

Food Benefits
WIC now provides food through an EBT card. Provided WIC foods help WIC participants meet the dietary guidelines for Americans. You will receive an EBT card to buy foods such as milk, 100% juice, peanut butter, beans, fruits and vegetables, whole grain products, and baby food, fruits/vegetables/meats. Participants redeem these benefits at WIC eligible grocery stores. Call 218-280-3474 to schedule an appointment or with questions.

WIC Provides
- Nutrition education and counseling.
- Access to healthy foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, whole grains, infant foods, cereals, and more.
- Breastfeeding support.
- Referrals to health and social services.
- Information about other services.
Program Qualifications
- If you are pregnant, postpartum, or have a child under age 5, you may qualify for WIC. You can view the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) income guidelines to see if you qualify.
- Norman and Mahnomen County residents can call 218-280-3474 to be screened over the phone, or apply online.
- WIC services are available to all eligible residents in Minnesota, visit MDH's WIC website for information about clinics outside of Norman and Mahnomen Counties.
