FULL TIME CLERK RECORDER
Job Summary: The Clerk Recorder will assist the public with license transactions for the License Center and assist in maintaining & researching real property for the Recorder’s Office.
Duties/Responsibilities for License Center:
- Provide customer assistance in registering and transferring motor vehicles, boats, snowmobiles and ORV’s in a timely manner
- Process titles in accordance to State guidelines
- Renew and issue driver’s license
- Attend monthly trainings or meetings when required for new updates and refresher on motor vehicle & driver’s license
- Must be consistent and accurate with daily transactions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Duties/Responsibilities for Recorder’s Office:
- Maintain & record permanent public records involving a wide variety of instruments
- Assist the public who wish to record documents, receive copies of land records, or have inquiries concerning documents and land transactions
- Issue vital records
Required skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional attitude & ability to take criticism
- Ability to read and understand correspondence & directives
- Must be able to prioritize & perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must have the ability to remain seated or standing at given work station for extended period of time throughout the day
- Must have the ability to type accurately on a keyboard
- Maintain confidentiality and data privacy
- Must be able to produce quality, accurate work
